It is a great time to plant because the soil is warm. Valerian is classified as a herb and grows 1.5 metres. It comes up every year. It does seed but I cut off the heads before they go to seed. I cut it to the ground after flowering. It is a useful plant and has pretty white flowers.
The first pic is just to show you the plant in flower. You will be getting the seedling.
