Long handled child catcher (Bernards Heath AL1)

OK, it's actually an old Hozelock Pond Skimmer whose net has rotted away. It's a really light, strong handle and frame and it seems a shame to just throw it away, but they don't sell replacement nets and I haven't the needlework skills to stitch a bit of netting over the frame and make a good-as-new skimmer. You could of course really use it as a child-catcher, in which case extending the handle to its full 180cms would keep them a safe scratching and spitting distance away!
