Natural seed pods (Ann Arbor Northwest Side)

Used these decoratively and for sensory enjoyment. Can be used as rattles, for nature education, and in any compostable craft project. Seeds inside may also still be viable.

I believe these are from a native species of honey-locust tree, so no need to worry about spreading invasive species. The seeds inside tend to last even longer than the outer pods, look like adzuki beans (smallish and brown), and can also be used for eco-friendly crafts or decoration.

No worries if no one wants these (you can probably even collect your own), but figured to offer before mulching them! If you notice a tiny bit of fuzz in the photo, it’s just from them being close to milkweed fluff.

From a home with fragrance-free/nontoxic practices, freely available to anyone.
