Request: Bucket opener (Spring Hill, Somerville) Looking for a bucket lid opener for 5 gallon buckets with particularly tight lids. Either plastic or metal tool is fine! I can pick up in Somerville, Cambridge, or places close by (would be biking there).

Free: Graco Pack 'n' Play (Spring Hill, Somerville) Gifted I have a Pack 'n' Play portable playard to pass along. Dimensions: 40" long, 28.5" wide, 31.5" tall. It's in fine shape but is missing the carrying bag. This makes carrying it around a little annoying -- when you fold it up, the floor gets wrapped around the main body of the collapsed playard, but they tend to slide apart. If you're just going to use this at home it shouldn't be a problem at all. If you're going to be schlepping it back and forth to work or something, I'd be happy to add a rope or strap to keep it together. I'm in the Spring Hill area of Somerville (near Highland Ave and Cedar St). I can leave it on the porch for you, or meet you if you want to check it out first.

Request: Thin cable lock for bike (Spring Hill, Somerville) Received I'm hoping to get a thin cable lock for my daughter's bike -- she has trouble wrestling with the thicker, stiffer cable lock she currently has. I know cable locks are easy to cut, but I'm not *too* worried about someone going after a kid's bike. Looking to get one with a combination rather than a key, because I don't think she can keep track of a key yet. :-)
Free: Child car seat (Spring Hill, Somerville) Gifted Our kid outgrew her car seat, so we're passing it along. It no longer has some of its original labeling so I don't have a lot of information about it; all I know is that it was made by Dorel (as seen in one of the photos).

Free: Hiking child carrier w/ cover (Spring Hill, Somerville) Gifted Child carrier for hiking, built like a backpacking frame but carrying a kid instead of gear. No storage compartment on this one, but it does have a retractable hood to shelter the kid from rain or sun. (Small rip on part of the clear cover -- should be repairable.) Chicco brand. Very comfortable -- padded hip belt and plenty of adjustable straps. Let me know a good date for you to come by and I can leave it out on the porch for you. I'm in Somerville near the intersection of Highland Ave and Cedar St.

Free: REI hiking child carrier (Spring Hill, Somerville) Gifted Child carrier for hiking, built like a backpacking frame but carrying a kid instead of gear. (Although it does also have a goodly sized storage compartment underneath.) Very comfortable -- padded hip belt and plenty of adjustable straps. Has a couple of cords attached to it, useful for attaching a pacifier for the kid or a small mirror for you to check up on them with. (Don't have the mirror any more, sorry.) Let me know a good date for you to come by and I can leave it out on the porch for you. I'm in Somerville near the intersection of Highland Ave and Cedar St.

Free: 12" balance bike (Spring Hill, Somerville) Gifted Balance bike for a young kid. These are bikes with no pedals, which usually makes for an easier transition than training wheels do (although the best option is always whatever your kid enjoys more!) This one has nominal 12" wheels (actually 11.5") and a standover height of 13.5–17.5". Happy to do porch pickup but also feel free to come over with your kid and just try it out and see if it's the right height! Can suggest a nearby park, and we're also not far from the Somerville Community Path.

Free: 16" kid's bike (Spring Hill, Somerville) Gifted A green and black, robot-themed kid's bike with 16" wheels. (Technically 15.5" but 16 is the nominal size.) My daughter adored this bike but has outgrown it. I have training wheels to go with it if you want them. The seat's standover height is 20.5 to 24 inches. Happy to do porch pickup but also feel free to come over with your kid and just try it out and see if it's the right height! Can suggest a nearby park, and we're also not far from the Somerville Community Path.

Request: 20" kid's bike (Spring Hill, Somerville) Received Our kid is ready to move up to the next size of bike -- probably a 20" wheel, with a 25-27" minimum seat height. I'm hoping to find someone with a used bike close to Spring Hill to make it easier to actually bring her over and try out the bike, but farther afield (2-3 miles out) is OK too! If you have one, please let me know if it has coaster brakes and/or hand brakes. Thank you so much!
