How does the Fair Chance Policy work?
The Fair Chance Policy is an optional policy that you can use when posting Offers. By using the policy, you agree to wait before choosing a recipient to give more people a chance to reply.
If you're not in a rush to give away your item, it's recommended to use the Fair Chance Policy as it can reduce no shows by helping you choose a person who is more likely to show up. It also gives people who receive the digest emails, or those who are online less frequently, a fair chance to reply.
The waiting time is usually just one day though some people may choose to wait shorter times.
As part of how the policy works, Trash Nothing will remind you how much longer you agreed to wait before choosing a recipient when you receive messages. But you can still reply to messages from other members before the wait time is up.
If you changed your mind and decide that you don't want to use the policy for a specific post, you can edit your post to turn off the policy for that post.
